Welcome to my website!
I started learning to play the guitar when I was seven. I’m now doing my A Levels : French, Spanish and Latin.
I achieved ABRSM Grade 8 in 2014 and achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance (ATCL Recital) in 2017. I’ve always enjoyed performing and have played in masterclasses, competitions and concerts in South Africa, Australia, Poland, Spain and England.
I have had classes, which included ensemble playing, with Maria Linnemann and Marek Pasieczny. In 2012 I attended the Krzyzowa Guitar Festival in Poland and had masterclasses with Simone Iannarelli, Leszek Potasinski, Krzysztof Pelech and Jozsef Eotvos. In 2013 I performed in a masterclass with Craig Ogden at an ISM event in London and in 2015 I performed in a masterclass with Michael Partington in Dorset.
In 2015 I was a member of the National Youth Guitar Ensemble and we performed in Oxford and York under the direction of Gerald Garcia.
I frequently perform duets together with my teacher, Samantha Muir. In 2015 we recorded a short CD of duets, called Hope, with sound engineer John Taylor. In 2016 I performed at the IGRC at Surrey University as part of Sam’s lecture / recital on the music for machete de braga by Cândido Drumond de Vasconcelos. I played the accompaniments to the Drumond pieces on a replica of a Panormo Fecit.
I also play the ukulele and have performed at the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival and Biddulph Ukulele Event.
